Combined tomography and radiographic projection system

A combined apparatus has an apparatus to acquire tomographic image datasets and an apparatus to acquire radiographic projection images. A first examination region in which radiographic projection images are acquired includes at least a part of a second examination region in which the tomographic image datasets are acquired. A number of radiographic projection images can be acquired from which a three-dimensional reconstruction of the first examination region is possible.
