<p>A fire-barrier system comprises at least one alkali silicate resin compositi on layer and at least one layer of any of the following: an insulation layer, a n intumescent layer, a foam layer, a corrugated layer, a reflective surface layer, and a reinforcing material layer. The fire-barrier system when utiliz e in association with a substrate such as wood, a polymer, etc. provides enhanced fire resistance performance, thermal barrier, an oxidation barrier, and the like.</p> |
