PURPOSE: Laminated optical films, an elliptical polarizer, and an image display device are provided to restrain coloring of a display image in observing the display image in diagonal direction to normals of a screen, and realize display of an image having fewer gradation inversion. CONSTITUTION: A first optical film(1) is obtained by drawing a polymer film containing a polycarbonate resin and a styrene resin. A photoelasticity coefficient of the first optical film is 2.0 x 10¬-11 to 6.0 x 10¬-11 m¬2/N, and a three-dimensional refraction index thereof is controlled. A second optical film(2) optically represents positive uniaxial property, satisfying correlation nx_2>ny_2 nz_2. A third optical film(3) is a tilting aligned material, representing negative uniaxial property.
