Truck load tie-down point has butterfly sheet metal flange welded on both sides to truck load platform frame

A truck has a load platform and a surrounding frame (1) with a number of tie-down lashing points for e.g. ropes. Each tie-down point consists of a butterfly flange whose two wings (5a, 5b) are individually welded (2a) to the frame. Each wing has an aperture (4a, 4b) for the tie-down ropes. The median line between the two wings is vertical.
