PURPOSE: A tension control device for an accelerator cable is provided to prevent an engine from overheating by unconsciously stepping on an accelerator pedal by a driver with setting a transmission as a parking mode and starting the engine by regulating the tension of the accelerator cable according to a traveling mode or a parking mode of the transmission. CONSTITUTION: A tension control device for an accelerator cable(22) for controlling a throttle valve(24) opening and closing an injection pipe(25) supplying mixed fuel to an engine comprises a control unit(41) for receiving a signal of a sensor unit(51) detecting a parking mode or a traveling mode of a gear of a vehicle and controlling a driving unit(31) regulating the tension of the cable by moving vertically the accelerator cable. The driving unit is composed of a supporting bar on which the accelerator cable is hung; a T-shaped movable bar combined with the supporting bar and formed with a gear at one side; a guide plate having a guide groove inserted with the other side of the movable bar and guiding a vertical movement of the movable bar; and a motor engaged with the gear of the movable bar.
