PURPOSE:To obtain the title sheet with high sensitivity, by a method wherein a solution of at least one of an electron-donative dye precursor (color former) and an electron-acceptive compound (color developer) in an organic solvent is dispersed in water, followed by a predetermined treatment, and an aqueous dispersed liquid thus obtained is used. CONSTITUTION:A solution of one or both of the color former and the color developer in an organic solvent is dispersed in water, followed by removing the solvent, and a dispersed liquid thus obtained is used, whereby the color former or the color developer can be further pulverized, and a thermal recording sheet with high sensitivity can be obtained. In dispersing the color former or the color developer in the organic solvent, the concentration depends on the solubility determined by the combination of the solute and the solvent, but the concentration is preferably as high as possible. The solution thus obtained is dispersed in water by a dispersing machine such as a homomixer to form an emulsion. An emulsifier is previously added to at least one of the organic solvent and water, for forming or stabilizing the emulsion. |
