PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for providing a calling number for a wireless terminal to another wire/wireless terminal are provided so that a user can confirm calling numbers for voice calls, image calls, voice mail, short messages, etc., received to his own terminal at any time and anywhere in case that the user cannot use his terminal. CONSTITUTION: A mobile subscriber attempts a check call using a wire telephone(101) or another mobile terminal(113,114) in order to use a check call service. The check call is transferred to an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(105). The MSC(105) sends an intelligent network check call service initiation request command to an intelligent network service controller(112) through a signaling transfer point. The intelligent network service controller(112) sends a command to request the MSC(105) to set up a traffic path between an intelligent network announcement processor(108) and the MSC(105) in order to connect the subscriber to an announcement sending path and a digit collection path according to a service scenario to execute an associated service. The MSC connects the voice and data traffic path with the intelligent network announcement processor(108) using an ISUP(ISDN User Part) protocol according to the command from the intelligent network service controller(112). |
