<p>A papermaking assembly has a blow or suction box (5) in contact with a rotating (A) perforated drum (1) mantle (3). Contact between the box and mantle is effected by sealing strips (6, 7). The box (5) pressure or suction zone has a nozzle through which fluid is introduced or abstracted in close proximity to the seals (6, 7). The suction/blow nozzle extends the entire width of the drum. A suction/blow pipe (8) is located in the gusset between the moving web (4) and drum mantle (3), through which fluid is either abstracted or introduced.</p>
