PURPOSE: To prevent a cover form closing spontaneously by providing a damper screw with a female screw or a male screw which can be engaged with either of a male screw or a female screw, or either of male screws formed. CONSTITUTION: This axial support device of a printer cover 4 consists of a hinge bracket 12 on the main device system side, a damper screw 13 for supporting an axis on the main device system side, a hinge bracket 14 on the cover side, a damper screw 15 for supporting an axis on the cover side, flat springs 16 a first mechanism for adjusting the degree of opening), a stopper washer 17 and a protective member 18. These members are assembled in an aligned fashion along the rotating axial line 3A. Under this constitution, the cover is assembled into the device so that the cover is closed in the advancing direction of a screw (clockwise). Consequently, the damper screw for pivotal supporting on the main body side and the damper screw for pivotal supporting on the cover side become tightened in accordance with the rotation of the cover in a closing direction. Thus applying a brake is prossible. |
