PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the development property with high accuracy in a short time by conducting the maximum concentration maintenance control determining the revolving speed of a developing sleeve in a part of the operation mode, and conducting the maximum concentration maintenance control in the other operation mode via the calculation of the data stored in a device. SOLUTION: The development property is set to the picture element density 400 dpi and 600 dpi respectively at the time of a warm-up first thing in the morning, then the maximum concentration maintenance control is conducted a every 1,000 copies. An image forming device is set to the 400-dpi mode. The densities of the test patch images developed at different revolving speeds of a developing sleeve are measured, then the revolving speed of the developing sleeve in the 400-dpi mode it set. The revolving speed of the developing sleeve for printing 1,000 sheets in the 600-dip mode is calculated and set based on the revolving speeds of the developing sleeve in the 400-dip and 600-dpi modes set at the time of the warm-up first thing in the morning and in the 400-dip mode for printing 1,000 sheets. |
