PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a bird's-eye view map which allows to easily catch a sense of distance and gives a feeling of attendance. SOLUTION: A grid line information storing memory is previously stored with plural pieces of grid line information which emphasizes the perspective toward the frontal and the right/left directions from the position of the car of interest on the map in the case of the road map display according to the bird's-eye view drawing method, and grid lines are displayed in a manner to overlap the map. Thus, even when a road map is displayed according to the bird's-eye drawing method, a sense of distance can be easily grasped and a road map having high presence feeling can be displayed. By displaying the distances between grid lines, actual distances can be understood more easily from the display screen. |
