PURPOSE: A streaming system including a streaming terminal functioning as a streaming server and an operating method thereof are provided to enable a streaming terminal to function as a streaming server which controls/distributes streaming data, thereby distributing network bandwidths and loads of an existing central server. CONSTITUTION: A streaming data reproducer(400) reproduces transmitted streaming data. A position information retrieving module(410) accesses another position information management server, and obtains position information of a client terminal for a streaming server. A streaming module(420) streams data to a client terminal located in a lower node, and transmits streaming data received from a client terminal(or, a streaming data source server(430)) for an upper streaming server to a client terminal(440) for a lower streaming server.
