PURPOSE:To obtain the high resolution over the whole range of the screen by applying a dynamic voltage with lower potential similar to that in the G2 electrode among three electrodes for controlling an electron beam. CONSTITUTION:The titled electron gun comprises three cathodes 6, 6', 6'' forming an electron beam emitting portion, G1 and G2 electrodes 7, 8 for controlling an electron beam, G3 and G3' electrodes 9, 10 accelerated with intermediate voltage, G4 electrode 11 with high voltage and barrier cup 12. The G3 electrode 9 is devided into two electrodes with cylindrical portions and auxiliary electrodes of horizontal electrodes 13, 13' 13'' and vertical electrodes 14, 14 in the space 18 between G3 and G3'. A dynamic voltage with lower potential (less than 1kv) similar to that in the G2 electrode 8 is applied to the auxiliary electrodes so as to distort the shape of the electron beam spot together with the increase of the beam deflection angle. Therefore, it is possible to obtain the high resolution over the whole range of the screen.
