A roll paper curl correction device (2) has a clamp roller (37) for clamping and transporting roll paper (P), and a guide member comprising a guide face (39) being positioned in the downstream proximity of the clamp roller (37) and formed so that the roll paper is curved to an opposite side of a curl tendency of the roll paper (P) for coming in contact with the non-print side of the paper roll. The guide face (37) can be a curve face formed so as to curve to the opposite side of the curl tendency of the roll paper (P).
