PURPOSE:To prevent a speed from being fluctuated on changeover, by adding an inverse-supplementary set value for releasing the saturation of a speed control loop, to a speed set value on the change-over from constant-current control to speed control, and by subtracting the inverse-suplementary set value when motor current comes to a value less than a current set value. CONSTITUTION:When a speed is controlled, then contacts 11-13 are opened, and a contact 15 is closed, and the input of a maximum current value Imax to a speed regulator 7 is provided. When the control is changed over to constant-current control, then the contact 11 is closed, and the input of the supplementary set value of the speed+ N to the speed regulator 7 is provided, and the speed regulator 7 is saturated, and the contact 15 is opened, and the contact 13 is closed, and the input of a current set value I to the speed regulator 7 is provided. When the control in this state is changed over to the speed control again, then the contact 11 is opened, and the contact 12 is closed, and the input of an inversesupplementary set value - N to the speed regulator 7 is provided.
