NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula (R is 1-4C alkyl). USE:A production intermediate for pharmaceuticals and agricultural chemicals. PREPARATION:The compound of formula can be produced either by reacting 2-acetylthiophenoxime with an alkylation agent (e.g. dialkyl-sulfuric acid, alkyl halide, etc.) in a solvent such as water, methanol, etc., in the presence of a base (e.g. alkali metal hydroxide) at 5-20 deg.C or by reacting 2-acetylthiophene with an O-alkylhydroxylamine of formula RONH2 in the presence of a base at 60-90 deg.C.
