At least one of the pram wheels has a brake and parking brake unit. The unit is operated by an actuator device working like a ball-point pen. When the brake is operated over a set operating distance, the brake moves into blocking position locking the wheels, and releases the wheels when the same operating process is repeated. The device is actuated against a spring (70). It has a first fixed element and a second relatively moveable foot pedal (32), with a crank path in one of the two. A slide block connecting the two elements engages into the crank path. The device is located on a common axle for the rear wheels. First element, foot pedal, and slide block are of metal and/or plastic.
