PURPOSE: Provided are a composition of medicinal herbs, especially Ephedra sinica Stapf., for controlling body weight and a kit containing the same for controlling body weight. It further contains medicinal herbs which improve digestion and antioxidation. Therefore, the composition controls body weight, makes one's bowels move smoothly, and prevents skin-aging caused by body weight. CONSTITUTION: The composition for controlling body weight is characterized by containing 4-8 wt.% of Ephedra sinica Stapf., as an active ingredient, based on the total weight of the composition. The composition further contains herbs which improve digestion and antioxidation, wherein the medicinal herb for improving digestion is selected from Atractylodes, Crataegus Pinnatifida Bunge, Alisma canaloculatum and Cassia obtusifolia, and the medicinal herb for antioxidation is selected from mulberry leaves, Styphnolobium japonicum Schott, Salvia Miltiorrhiza and Lycium chinese Mill.
