TV SIGNAL RECEIVING MODULE AND PORTABLE COMPUTER INCLUDING THE SAME FOR RECEIVING BOTH OF ANALOG AND DIGITAL TV SIGNALS

PURPOSE: A TV signal receiving module and a portable computer including the TV signal receiving module are provided to receive both of an analog TV signal and a digital TV signal using a single TV signal receiving module and easily connect the TV signal receiving module to the portable computer. CONSTITUTION: A TV signal receiving module includes a tuner(1) for receiving an analog TV signal or a digital TV signal, a video decoder(3) for receiving a video signal separated from the analog TV signal received by the tuner and processing the video signal into a signal displayable on a screen, and a compression engine(5) for storing the analog video signal processed by the video decoder in a compression format. The TV signal receiving module further includes a memory(7) for storing the format compressed by the compression engine, and a network interface(10) for controlling the digital TV signal and the video format stored in the memory to be transmitted to a portable computer.
