ROCKER SHAFT FOR IMPROVING SUPPORTING STRENGTH BY BOLT HOLE PERPENDICULAR TO CENTRAL LINE OF SHAFT BODY

PURPOSE: A rocker shaft is provided to increase sealing performance of the rocker shaft and a cylindrical bush by fitting the cylindrical bush in a bolt hole without communicating plural passages and to prevent the leakage of lubricating oil and controlling oil by restricting lubricating and controlling oil passages from communicating to each other. CONSTITUTION: A rocker shaft(1) forming a movable valve system of an internal combustion engine is composed of a shaft body(1a) forming a main part of the rocker shaft; a plurality of passages(2,3) arranged in the shaft body and extended in the axial direction of the shaft body; a bolt hole(6) perpendicular to a central line of the shaft body and communicating plural passages; and a bush(8a) fitted into the bolt hole to restrict a plurality of passages from communicating to each other by the bolt hole. The bolt hole is formed through two passages. The bush is formed like a cylinder and the bolt hole has a C-shaped vertical section.
