PURPOSE: A data sharing system is provided to insert a P2P program in an HTML document, to automatically install the P2P program if a user downloads the HTML document, and to enable the user to search or browse data of other PC. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a web page(11), a P2P program(13), a main server(10), and peers(20a, 20b, 20c). The web page(11) is produced in HTML so that a user can access. The P2P program(13) is automatically downloaded and installed by a tag inserted in the HTML document if the user accesses the web page(11). The main server(10) stores the web page(11) and the P2P program(13). The peers(20a, 20b, 20c) access the main server(10), and download the P2P program. The P2P program(13) includes a client module for enabling a user to browse data in other peer, and a server module for opening data in a peer itself.
