FIELD: acceleration engineering; simulation of micrometeorites and man-caused particles. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed charged dust particle source has housing, bin electrode, charge electrode, needle, bin and charge chambers. Intermediate electrode installed between charge electrode and housing forms intermediate chamber between housing and outer surface of intermediate electrode. Side surface of intermediate electrode has additional holes providing communication between charge and intermediate chambers; bin chamber is formed by housing and bin electrode and communicates with intermediate chamber; charge chamber is formed by charge electrode and inner surface of intermediate electrode. ^ EFFECT: enhanced percentage ratio of charged particles to general particle flow. ^ 1 cl, 2 dwg |
