PURPOSE: A module recognizing method and apparatus are provided to automatically recognize a module included in an image display system and automatically select firmware corresponding to the module, to thereby minimize waste of time and manpower required for production. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for recognizing a module of an image display system includes a pull-up resistor part(102) and a controller(104). The pull-up resistor part is installed on a main board of the image display system and has a resistance value in response to the kind of the module. The controller detects the kind of the module included in the image display system using a voltage or current value provided through the pull-up resistor part, selects and installs firmware corresponding to the detected module type. |
