PURPOSE:To obtain a cordlike or netlike foam reinforced by core material by a method in which the core material is stuck to or impregnated with the thermoplastic resin foaming composition crushed to fine particle diameter, and they are foamed under heating. CONSTITUTION:The core material composed of a cordlike or netlike construction is stuck to or impregnated with the thermoplastic resin foaming composition crushed to the particle diameter of 10-1000mum, and then it is heated and foamed, thereby manufacturing the cordlike or netlike foam reinforced by the core material. When the particle diameter of the powder exceeds 1000mum, the adhesion of the powder to the core material becomes ununiform, and the foamed layer of the cordlike or netlike foam also becomes ununiform, whereby its commodity value is reduced. When the particle diameter of the powder is less than 10mum, its pulverization becomes difficult, whereby its pulverization cost is raised or the foamed layer of the cordlike or netlike foam becomes thin and flat, and its commodity value becomes less. As the core material, a plastic rod and its network, natural fiber and its network, synthetic resin and its network and a metallic wire and its network are used. |
