PURPOSE:To prepare easily a skin in a simple process, with a short cycle and with a simple apparatus, by coating a molding face of a slush mold with a paint to form a coating, feeding a foamable thermoplastic resin powder or plastisol in a cavity of the slush mold and thereby carrying out slush molding. CONSTITUTION:A molding face 4 of a slush mold 1 is heated in advance and the molding face 4 is coated with a paint 6 from a spray nozzle 5 to form a coating 9 on the molding face 4. In a cavity of the slush mold 1 under heating, a foamable thermoplastic resin powder of PVC resin, ABS resin and so on blended with a foaming agent or a plastisol 7 is fed to form a foamed layer 8 of semi-molten state on the molding face 4. After excess foamable thermoplastic resin powder or plastisol is thereafter taken out of the mold, and the coating 4 and the foamed layer 8 are furthermore cured, a skin can be obtained by releasing it from the mold. |
