FIELD: railway transport; signaling and communication. ^ SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method linear coordinates of points of track trajectory local extreme are determined beforehand and readings of on-board equipment of locomotive are corrected by revealing these points of extreme and taking their real coordinates from on-board storage. Device for implementing the method contains unit to determine covered kilometrage of run, unit to measure turning angles of coordinate system formed by rail vehicle and external memory connected with computer through interface. Computer is made for program processing of measuring information, identification of correcting points and correction of coordinate of rail vehicle.
