HEAT PIPE TYPE COOLING ROLL WITH WORKING FLUID IN VACUUM STATE INSIDE

PURPOSE: A heat pipe type cooling roll is provided to mount with a mesh type wick or form a plurality of indent grooves on inner surface of an outer case for making the inside vacuum to insert a working fluid, thereby processing a sheet of high temperature. CONSTITUTION: A heat pipe type cooling roll is in the cylindrical shape with an outer casing(10) contacting a sheet(90) of high temperature and rotates by a shaft(60). A plurality of cooling water pipes(20) is formed in the cooling roll. The sheet of high temperature exchanges its heat with the cooling water in the cooling water pipes. The outer casing is attached with a mesh type wick(30) or formed with a plurality of indent grooves on its inner surface for a working fluid(80) to go upward by surface tension, thereby increasing the heat exchange at a relatively low rpm. The working fluid is inserted into a vacuum space(88) of the outer casing.
