WIRE GRID POLARIZATION MEMBER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF, ESPECIALLY USING AN EMBOSSING TECHNIQUE

PURPOSE: A wire grid polarization member and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce a manufacturing cost of the member by forming a mold using an embossing technique and then using the mold many times. CONSTITUTION: A wire grid polarization member includes a substrate(300), and a metal grid pattern(310a). The metal grid pattern is formed on the substrate and polarizes a visible ray. The metal grid pattern is formed by using a mold. A period of the metal grid is not greater than 120nm. The mold is made of one selected from a group consisting of silicon, SiO2, quartz glass, nickel, platinum, chromium, and high-molecular material.
