PURPOSE: An ignition key apparatus for a vehicle is provided to minimize malfunction of the ignition key apparatus by simplifying key structures such that the key is easily movable between a power supply position and a lock position. CONSTITUTION: An ignition key apparatus for a vehicle includes a rotor(50) rotatably installed in a rotor case(30) fixed to a lock body(40). A vehicle key(70) is inserted into one end of the rotor(50). Elastic force is applied to the rotor(50) in opposition to the insertion direction of the vehicle key(70). The lock body(40) is provided at one side thereof with a stopper(60) for preventing the rotor(50) from rotatably moving into a lock position when the rotor(50) is shifted into the power supply position from the lock position. An elastic spring(62) is installed at a lower portion of the stopper(60).
