FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: object of invention is catalytic cracking gasoline hydrofining comprising separation of initial long gasoline fraction into light fraction boiling up to 130-160 and heavy fraction boiling above 130-160 followed by hydrofining of heavy fraction in presence of catalyst and mixing of light fraction with hydrofined heavy fraction. Hydrofining process is conducted at 200-320, pressure 1.0-3.5 MPa, and volume flow rate of raw material 1 to 10 h-1 in presence of alumina-supported catalyst containing 8-19% MoO3 and 2-6% CoO and/or NiO. Catalyst is prepared via two-step impregnation of preliminarily calcined alumina support first with molybdenum oxide solution and then with cobalt nitrate and/or nickel nitrate solution with intermediate heat treatment at 100-200 and final calcination at 400-650. Hydrofining results in production of commercial gasoline component with sulfur level below 0.05% and loss in octane number less than 0.5 point. ^ EFFECT: increased degree of desulfurization. ^ 3 tbl, 27 ex
