FIELD: nuclear power engineering; manufacture of fuel elements for nuclear reactor fuel assemblies. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed line is provided with transport-and-operational module incorporating units for detecting alpha-beta radiation from fuel element surfaces, rotor that has disks carrying beds for fuel elements disposed on their generating line and rotor position detector unit, rotor drive control unit, and power unit, as well as photosensors responding to fuel elements in charging position and enclosed reference alpha-radiation sources; treatment and control module incorporating industrial computer, optical digital input centers, optical digital output center, and timing counters; transport means for charging inspected fuel elements into rotor beds; transport means for discharging inspected fuel elements that has bifurcating mechanism for feeding them to transport containers. Means for inlet and outlet of fuel elements are made in the form of tilted desks. ^ EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities of line due to additional inspection of fuel elements. ^ 2 cl, 3 dwg
