PURPOSE: A method for removing ammonium chloride from fish using electrolyzed water is provided to enable fish having offensive smell and taste to be edible in a simplified, fast treatment method at low cost. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises: electrolyzing tap water to prepare electrolyzed water that is a mixture of acidic water having a pH from 2 to 7 and alkaline water having a pH from 7 to 13; and dipping fish into the acidic water and the alkaline water for 6 to 12 hours to remove ammonium chloride based on osmosis.
