he adsorption Chiller consists in a heat pump with adsorption, where the adsorbing medium is for instance Sillicagel and the adsorption medium dor instance wate, which can transform hot water of relative low temperature of 50-90 degrees C into coldwater 6/12 degrees C suitable for ait-conditioning with a relatively high efficiency (COP) in the order of 0,6 till 0,9 with continuous cyclic operation, contrary to the known up to now Sillicagel heat pumps, which work in a discontinuous way, interchanging thw roles of the adsorption and regeneration chambers, resultinng in a high cost and a deterioration of their efficiency. The way of operation of the new adsorption Chiller complete recuperation of the heat adsorption and regeneration of Sillicagel and almost important approximately at the efficiency, while in parallel it permits the constrauction of small power models with high efficiency, suitable for applications of solar air-consitioning in residencies, offices etc. or of air-conditioning of vehicles using the rejected heat from the cooling of the motor etc., with a competitive cost. In addition the minimization of moving parts and the inherent good thermal insulation contribute also in the improvement of the reliability and the efficiency and of the cost of the new adsorption Chiller. |
