PURPOSE: A coating agent composition for the inner liner of a tire is provided, to allow a thin film having an excellent air permeation resistance to be formed, thereby improving the maintenance of tire pneumatic pressure and reducing the weight of a tire by the elimination of inner liner. CONSTITUTION: The coating agent composition comprises at least 50-90 wt% of butyl latex; 5-25 wt% of an organized clay; and 2-8 wt% of a surfactant, and is sprayed on the carcass or inner liner of a tire. Preferably the coating agent has a viscosity of 3,000-5,000 (Brookfield at 0.3 rpm, 23 deg.C), a specific gravity of 1.06-1.20, a solid content of 50-90 % and ash of 5-25 %. Preferably the butyl latex contains 60-90 wt% of a butyl rubber, and the organized clay is organized with the organic modifier represented by the formula. |
