The system has a refractory plate (2) for rigidifying the system and arranged in a flexible inner pocket (1) which contains the liquid to be frozen and which is cased in an outer pocket (3). The plate is adjusted at the one of the pockets to limit the ventilation in the thermal battery at the time of liquid filling. The plate conducts heat from top towards its base to saturate the system in the icy liquid.
