摘要 PURPOSE: Provided is an implantable device for drug delivery using an orifice mechanism allowing low fluid flow rates at a low manufacturing cost to achieve cost-efficient drug delivery. CONSTITUTION: The implantable device comprises: a housing having orifice mechanism(200); and a drug source accommodated in the housing, the orifice mechanism(200) communicating with the drug source, and including an internal member(210) having a proximal end(205) and a distal end(207), and a winding(220) having a wire(222) helically wound around the internal member(210). The winding(220) and the internal member(210) define a first channel(230) for drug delivery, an inlet(234) in the proximal end of the winding(220), and an outlet(236) in the distal end of the winding(220). The drug is carried by the orifice mechanism(200) and dispensed outside the housing.
