The stapler comprises a support extending upwards from the rear end of a base frame, a working frame with its rear end pivotally connected to the support via a main axle and a staple press plate provided in the working frame. The press plate is lowered in order to drive individual staples from the staple magazine in between the two frames so that sheets of paper positioned between the base frame and anvil are stapled together. A handle frame is provided in the upper part of the working frame and has its rear end pivotally secured to the support so that this end is located on an upper part of the main axle. An intermediate part is provided with one end pivotally connected to an intermediate region of the handle frame and the other end pivotally secured to the working frame. |
