PURPOSE:To simultaneously process many cells without increasing probers and a constant-current circuit by simultaneously performing the initial discharge for many cells after inspecting the conductivity of a unit cell. CONSTITUTION:Coin type lithium cells 1 inspected for conductivity are packed in an initial discharge tray constituted of an insulator 2 and a ground 3 in 10 lines X 15 columns X 10 stages, for example, 150 negative probers 4 and cells 1 and also eight grounding probers 5 and grounding projections 3a are brought into contact respectively to perform the initial discharge. An initial discharge device simultaneously processing many cells and directly connected to a production line can be prepared at a low cost with a reduced space, thereby inexpensive coin type lithium cells can be manufactured. |
