PURPOSE: A UPMA(Ubiquitous Personal Mutual Authentication) security method performing mutual authentication and non-repudiation is provided to protect a user and confirm connected other person by equipping a personal terminal with an authentication component, and perform the mutual authentication between the personal terminal and an authentication server on a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) environment. CONSTITUTION: As the first terminal and the second terminal respectively set each ID, parameters for encryption access and the mutual authentication are generated. Both terminals confirm with each other by mutually transmitting the parameters, and encryption communication is connected by generating a session key based on the transmitted parameters. An authentication key is generated by using a hardware ID and a user ID of the first and the second terminal. The mutual authentication and the non-repudiation are preformed through the authentication key.
