PURPOSE: A display system for improving a responding speed of a liquid crystal according to a temperature and a method and an apparatus for driving the same are provided to optimize the responding speed by changing a lookup table according to the surrounding temperature. CONSTITUTION: A display system includes a data processor, a memory, and a controller. The data processor(110) is used for outputting gray scale data. The memory(120) is used for storing compensation data according to temperature blocks in order to improve the responding speed of the liquid crystal. The controller(130) is used for extracting compensation data from the memory according to an external temperature signal and outputting the extracted compensation data to an LCD.
