The method involves sweeping across the surface of body part, intended to receive a personalized equipment e.g. orthosis, with a bright light beam. A three dimensional representation of the body part is acquired and modified by a virtual interactive modeling unit. A piloting file of a manufacturing machine is generated from the modified three-dimensional file. An independent claim is also included for equipment for implementing a method of manufacturing a personalized equipment.
