<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-base ink for ballpoint pen having drooling-prevention effect and cap-off effect and excellent writing performance and provide a water-base ballpoint pen produced by using the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The water-base ink composition for ballpoint pen contains a wax emulsion selected from oxidized polyethylene and oxidized polypropylene in an ink composition composed at least of water, a coloring material and a water-soluble organic solvent and the average particle diameter of the wax emulsion is ≤0.1μm. The water-base ballpoint pen is produced by directly filling the water-base ink composition for ballpoint pen in an ink reservoir tube having a ballpoint tip attached directly or through a joint member to the tube and having a back-flow prevention member at the back end of the ink composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
