PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent oil mist from mixing into blow-by gas in order to prevent waste consumption of oil when the blow-by gas existing between a cylinder head and a cylinder head cover is sucked in an intake passage communicating with the cylinder and burned in the cylinder. SOLUTION: An engine 1 comprises a camshaft 14 provided in a cam chamber 8 and supported on an upper face side of the cylinder head 7 for rotation R around an axis 11 extending in an approximately horizontal direction, a partition plate 40 arranged on a lower face side of the cylinder head cover 9 and forming a breather chamber 39 in cooperation with the cylinder head cover 9, a communicating passage 41 formed by the partition plate 40, for communicating a cylinder head 7 side and the breather chamber 39 with each other, and a gas passage for communicating the intake passage communicating with the cylinder and the breather chamber 39 with each other.
