PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of averaging processing by removing an accidental large slip amount by filtering before averaging the slip amounts. SOLUTION: The method for automatically correcting the stop at the top dead center of the press machine is the method in which the accidental large slip amount among a plurality of times of the slip amount is removed by the filtering, and an average slip ratio (SA) obtained by averaging the slip amounts caused by the deterioration with the lapse of time is used as a correction item of the slip amount in the next stop at the top dead center.
