PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably separate stuff to be sorted which is fed from a pelletizing device into pellets and powder, and to remove burrs without abrasion of pellets themselves in a pretreatment device of a coke bed type melting equipment. SOLUTION: An elastic deceleration plate 17 which is suspended so as to be orthogonal to the advancing direction of the stuff to be sorted, and a pair of elastic rectifying plates 18, which are suspended so as to gradually reduce the width of a passage toward the advancing direction of the stuff to be sorted on the downstream side of the deceleration plate 17, are provided on a screen mesh 12 of a vibration-screening machine 7S of a pellet sorting device 7.
