PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable selection of an intended image from a number of reduced images in an easy manner without special information additional operation by a user. SOLUTION: A CPU 14 groups the number of reduced images by using time stamp information of pictured image data. For example, the reduced images are grouped based on dates included by the time stamp information and a picturing time interval of the images are calculated based on time of day included by the time stamp information and more minute grouping is executed according to the length of the time interval. Then, the reduced images are displayed on a CRT display device 10 in different methods for each group of the reduced images. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
