PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspicious person detection system capable of precisely detecting the trespassing of a suspicious person into premises, a residence, and a room by using a transceiver which induces in an electric field transfer medium an electric field based on information to be sent and which detects the electric field induced in the medium to send and receive the information. SOLUTION: The suspicious person detection system 100 has a signal generator 10, a suspicious person determining device 20, and an electrode film 3. When a trespasser 30 trespasses on the electrode film 3, the system determines whether the trespasser is an admitted person or a suspicious person depending on whether or not ID information is detected. The electrode film 3 is a thin insulating film 6 laid in a location where the detection of suspicious persons takes place. The insulating film 6 has incorporated therein a signal input electrode 4 which transmits a predetermined signal sent from the signal generator 10, and a signal output electrode 5 which transmits the predetermined signal to the suspicious person determining device 20 when the trespasser 30 is on the electrode film 3.
