PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for supporting editing of the input/output data of a plurality of computing programs, and for simplifying the maintenance management of the device. SOLUTION: Management files F20 and F30 are preliminarily prepared for each of the input/output data of each of computing programs according to a rule R to standardize the characteristics of the input/output data of the computing programs. Conversion processing parts 120 and 130 convert input/output data Fin/Fout of the computing programs into an input/output file F10 for edition by using the data storage format of the input/output data. An edit processing part 110 displays the edit screen of the input/output data by using the input/output file F10 for editing prepared by the conversion processing parts 120 and 130.
