<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate to investigate the causes of a wrong printing, interruption of printing, stop of starting of the host computer system side, and the like which have a possibility of generation when a printing apparatus is connected to many and unspecified host computer systems and a test on connection is performed, and to shorten a time for analysis. <P>SOLUTION: A printing apparatus is provided with an input and output control device provided with a parallel interface and a receiving buffer. It is characterized by providing a control transmitting a busy signal of the input and output control device to the host computer system when the receiving buffer is full, a control counting a time from a busy condition to a busy releasing when the receiving buffer is full, a control storing receiving data under a busy condition of the input and output control device when the receiving buffer is full, a control storing the receiving data just before the receiving buffer is full and the receiving data after the receiving buffer full is released, and a control tracing the time under the busy condition and the receiving data as a list. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
