<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative ion generator, with a thinned product, improved maintenability, and reduced noises. <P>SOLUTION: This negative ion generator is provided with a fine water droplet generating means 8 for generating fine water droplets, by colliding water supplied from a feed water port 5 with an opposed wall surface 7, by splashing the water by a water diffusing plate 6, an air blowing means 9 for carrying the fine water droplets, a vapor/liquid separating means 10 for separating large water droplets from fine water droplets, and a feed water pump 12 for carrying water of a feed water tank 11 detachably installed in a body 4 to the feed water port 5. The water diffusing plate 6 can be formed in a large shape in the vertical direction, by arranging a driving shaft 18 of the water diffusing plate 6 in the horizontal direction, so that the product can be thinned, the noises can be reduced, and the maintenability can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
